An Australian owned, family business located in the emerging Brookvale Art District, all paints, inks and other coatings are made in Australia using 100% renewable energy and environmentally sustainable practices. In 2023 Colormaker Industries was awarded three sustainability awards:
• In April 2023, Colormaker was awarded the inaugural Solar Champion Award by the Solar Alliance, Brookvale, for commitment to reducing the business’ environmental impact.
• In July 2023, Colormaker Industries was awarded the 2023 Northern Beaches Business Sustainability Award. In winning this award, Colormaker was recognised as an industry leader through the development of PERMASET eco-friendly inks and innovative investments in solar, batteries and other carbon abatement assets. These have contributed to significant savings in energy bills, petrol bills and carbon footprint.
• Then in October 2023, Colormaker was recognised by Business NSW, being awarded the Excellence in Sustainability Award 2023 for the Sydney Metro Region. This award celebrates businesses that demonstrate commitment to sustainable business practices and are working to reduce the impact on the environment of their operations.
By March 2024, Colormaker had saved over 670 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions through the electricity produced from their 100-kW solar array. Colormaker products are researched, developed, and manufactured at their Brookvale facility under strict quality conditions, managed by a dedicated team of experienced chemists and chemical engineers who focus on sustainable materials, practices and applications.
