Miguel Gonzalez, Co-Founder
BAD Foundation Member Kayapa Creative Studio is a creative force that combines photography, videography, design and art to bring stories to life.
It was co-founded in 2013 by Miguel Gonzalez and Gabby Villalba, both of whom come with a unique perspective and a shared love for the Northern Beaches…which they promote passionately.
@gabbyvillalba is a storyteller at heart and, through her documentary portraiture, she draws a picture of artists and creators at the centre of a cultural scene that defines our time. With a background in graphic design and art direction, she’s undertaken a wide range of photographic, video, illustration, design and branding projects including the Brookvale Arts District logo and its visual assets.
Miguel, aka @mlon is a visual artist and animator with a background in architecture who ran his own architectural business and design studio in Caracas for 15 years before arriving in Sydney. He now works as an illustrator, designer, animator, mentor and muralist, collaborating with a variety of clients including television productions, businesses and corporations, local councils, schools, creative agencies and art galleries.
