Kathrin Longhurst is a highly respected member of the Sydney arts community whose breathtaking figurative artworks are collected widely throughout Australia and around the world.

Kathrin has exhibited in countless galleries in many cities including San Francisco, Barcelona and Taipei to name a few. She has been a finalist in many of Australia’s most important art prizes and won the 2021 Archibald Packing Room Prize with her portrait of singer Kate Ceberano.

She has served as vice president for Portrait Artists Australia and founded the innovative artist-run Project 504 initiative, an art space that fosters collaboration between emerging and established Australian artists.

In 2003 Kathrin quit her corporate job and began painting part-time. After ten years of tireless work, she was able to start painting full-time, moving into her Brookvale Arts District studio and throwing herself completely into her career in art.
